Installing Kernal in Linux

Linux Kernal : -  Linux kernel is an os system kernel used by the Linux family of Unix-like operating systems(Centos,Redhat,ubuntu,gentoo,Unix etc).



                                 The Linux kernel is released under the GNU General Public License version 2 and is developed by contributors worldwide


Compile Linux kernal :-

  1. Download kernal from respective OS Site .
  2. Then install using rpm command .
    Eg. rpm -ivh  kernalname
  3.  Check yours new installation kernal in
    vi /etc/grub.conf   file
